Happy 1-1-11, Everyone!

First thought that popped to my mind when I was about to leave 2010 was “I still can’t believe how small I am and I’ll be turning 21!” Haha. MUST. JUMP. REAL. BAD. Yeah, I forgot it’s that time of the month and I did just that. My abdomen keeps hurting right now. Urgh. But nevertheless, I enjoyed last night’s New Year Eve. 😀

I was happy to accomplish or learn 3 new dishes last night. ^-^ I don’t usually stay in the kitchen but I kind of felt bad to leave my mom alone with a number of dishes to prepare. I can say that cooking is pretty easy. What can make or break a dish is of course its taste, so you have to be a good taster as well. Haha. Aside from that, I almost went crazy with this pear shaped ham because both my mom and didn’t know how to cook it. We put it in the oven along with its sauce and gladly, it turned out to be well-cooked and delicious. LOL.

My mother and my wacky younger brother

My mom insisted on a solo picture but my brother keeps on butting in. LOL. Our table is always overflowing with food during New Year. I’m really thankful to God for it because it’s one of the signs that we are living well and He has given us many blessings throughout the years. I’m really glad to be living here and breathing with joy and health. 🙂

Our family

My dad couldn’t make it so our holiday kinda incomplete without him. 🙁 But he’ll be back here next week, so yay! I already miss my father.

I'm the only girl in the family

It was hard to take a decent picture because my brother was holding my arm and the other one is giving himself a piggyback. LOL. It’s amazing we didn’t have childing fights these last few weeks. LOL.

I realized that I’m really lucky to be here in this world and I just hope that 2011 will be a fruitful, joyful, and bountiful year for all of us. Of course there are bad experiences and moments with 2010 but I’ll leave them behind and get on with 2011 with optimism. And with that, I leave you with these photos for your viewing pleasure. Or not. Hahaha.

  1. Happy New Year to you and your family!!! Wow the table full of food looks very delicious and inviting XD. Nice pictures, looks like you have a fun time with your family 🙂

    Slow internet connection really does not allow one to watch dramas or whatnot online. I love collecting DVDs too he he. Yup programmer by profession and web-designer by heart lol. Ouch, that’s why I stay away from free-lancing unless its family or friends (at least for now) ^_^;

  2. Thanks (: I’m really hoping to turn things around this year (: I’m glad you enjoyed new years with your family & that your as thankful as you are; most people don’t even understand the definition of appreciation.

  3. Aw, I’m loving the pictures! I always love looking into other people’s lives via blog-photos. It looks like you guys had an absolutely wonderful New Year’s. 6. I adore the HTC Wildfire, it’s an amazing phone.

My boyfriend has a Desire and I thought it was so cool, I had to get one. I can’t really afford a Desire either so that’s why I settled for a Wildfire.

Happy New Year to you too!

I feel the same about becoming 17. I still feel so young but in 4 days I’ll be old enough to drive. Crazy!

I wish I could cook. I really need to learn. The other day I wanted to make myself so beans on toast but I couldn’t even use the tin opener to open the tin. I had to Google how to use it!! I feel like such an idiot.

I hope you have a great 2011. I’m looking forward to the new year ahead of me 🙂

  8. Happy New Year!

You are really cute! You do not look like your age? Take this as a good sign- remember to be optimistic in the New Year- think about it like that you look younger than your age (which is what I think, since I am also too small for my age).
I won’t say that I don’t think you’re too small for 21 since I myself don’t believe people when they tell it to me.
Anyways, your table looks delicious *drool* *more drool*.

  9. It looks like you all had a blast.
You have a beautiful family. =)
My family can’t get along that well.
So it’s hard to take pics with everyone smiling.

  10. Happy new year! Looks like you had plenty of fun with your family. That is a lot of food, making me hungry just looking at it. I ate plenty of food this Christmas & New Years.

  11. Lovely pictures!! Looks like you and your family had fun and it’s wonderful your dad is coming home next week!

I hope 2011 is great for you!

&& OHMYGOSH I KNOW! I won’t be able to handle it. It was one thing when the books ended, now it’s finally over ):
