It’s been a long time since I wanted to try camping. This month, I finally had a chance to try it.
We climbed Mt. Naupa in Naga. The trail is beginner friendly, it wasn’t really difficult for me.
We had to buy a tent since we didn’t own one. We would have bought one that’s sold in the stores, but we found a shop dedicated to trekking and other outdoor activities. It was pricier, but no regrets as it is really solid and well insulated, so it’s good for cold temperatures.
We found a somehow flat terrain and camped there. In the morning, we climbed its peak. It was a steep climb and there are a few rocks that could help grip your feet so there were times I almost slipped and had to grab the roots of the trees to push myself up and not roll down the hill.
But everything was worth it. The best thing was the view during the sunset and sunrise as well as the stars during dawn. We would definitely climb and camp again. ^_^
And as always, I find myself at awe with nature and this quote always resonates with me: “Life’s a climb but the view is great.”
